Neo-Liberalism is one of the economic systems used in the United States, and many other countries in the west. You may even hear the US Democratic Party and the UK Labour Party called “Liberal” (though the Labour Party is often considered Social Democracy (which is similar)). Neo-Liberalism is basically Capitalism with regulations. The idea is that to help the workers. but keep capitalism, they just put regulations so they do not have to replace the system. This has many issues as it allows an exploitive system to keep existing, just a little “less bad”. Things Neo-Liberals often support are taxes, welfare, business regulations, and stuff like that. The Term became popular in the 1960s and 1970s CE, and is a new version of Liberalism which became popular after the 2nd Great War(Neo means new). It is often associated with laissez-faire. Neo-Liberalism is supposed to allow laissez-faire, but with regulations which are supposed to help large corporations be “checked”.
Flaws of Neo-Liberalism
Neo-Liberalism has many flaws. One of the mains ones is that it allows capitalists to continue to exploit workers and harm the people in other countries who are poorer. All Neo-Liberalism does is it adds limitations which are supposed to protect the workers, but they often do not, they just allow capitalism to continue to reign for longer, as may look like the workers are getting many “victories”, even though they are not. Neo-Liberalism has not gotten rid of wage labour, but has just slightly improved wages and wage regulations, please check out why we are against the minimum wage, where we look at it from both a capitalist and a communist perspective.
Another issue with the attempts with Neo-Liberalism is the large companies still stay on top, and the regulations do not help the smaller companies which are run by less rich people. In-fact, the large corporations often do not pay that much is taxes, if any, while the average person or small business still has to pay taxes like normal. The Guardian reported Netflix, did not pay any income tax in 2018. A large company is still easily able to keep a smaller company from being able to reliably compete.
Another issue is that many places that use Neo-Liberalism have Neo-Nazi or Neo-Fascist tendencies, such as the United States, and Neo-Liberalism helps keep it like this. Neo-Liberalism tries to regulate economics, and while doing it, they only really enforce it for the smaller companies, while the larger companies often get let off for stuff that normal companies would have to do. This means that the individual is more controlled by the state unless they work for one of the large companies, where the boss would control you more. This leads to corporatism and authoritarianism (and eventually totalitarianism (which has already partially happened in the United States)). Since Neo-Liberalism just helps postpone revolution, very little stops the state and bourgeoisie from grabbing tonnes of power before the proletariat can do anything.
What is an Alternative to Neo-Liberalism?
An Alternative to Neo-Liberalism is Communism. The Proletariat will revolt and overthrow the state and become self-supporting, no longer relying on Capitalists. The workers own the means of production and there is no currency or bosses or state. People live in Communes and use workplace democracy and trade with other communes through mutual aid. Communism happens after the workers revolt and after the state, currency/money, and capitalism are abolished in the area that Communism is happening. Communism brings a higher standard of living for everyone (except the former Bosses in most cases).
The minimum wage is an attempt to try to force companies to create a liveable wage for their employees. Labour Unions like the Industrial Workers of the World fought to raise it. However, it still remains ineffective and possibly even counter-productive in keeping Worker’s Rights. This article used the United States as its main example, but most of the stuff is applicable to other countries to an extent.
First of All, the Minimum wage is not really all that liveable, at least in the United States unless you choose to be homeless. The Federal Government makes the minimum wage 7,25USD an hour, though states may have their own. Full time is 8 hours making it about 58USD a day, if you work 5 days in a week thats 290USD a week, About 1200USD a Month and around 14400USD a Year. According to ApartmentList The Median Price of a Flat in the United States is around 1000USD per month for 1 Bedroom. If you only ate Potatoes, you would need to eat about 21 of them to meet the recommended calorie intake (a Postdate is around 56 Calories and the Recommended is around 1200 a day). A bag for 1USD contains around that many. If you eat only that you can get buy for 30USD a month for food. The Basic Utilities (Electricity, Heating, Cooling, Water, Rubbish) will cost you around 70USD on the cheap end (does not include Internet). For Internet you will most likely have to pay (Unless 10 Hours a Month for Free From NetZero is good Enough), for a DSL Connection you will Probably need to Pay around 40USD a Month . If you need a Bus Pass that will cost Around 20USD a month, if you need a Mobile Plan, thats 1USD a month from FreedomPop. If you choose to have Insurance, the price for that is About 400USD a month for an individual. Already we are in debt, and we have not even considered taxes and emergency spending or interest rate from your past debt. The Minimum wage is not liveable if you choose to live a normal life.
The Minimum Wage does not keep up well with Inflation
Many people in the US want to raise the Minimum wage to 15USD an hour. More than 50% agree with this. I can to an extent agree with this. The 7,25USD minimum wage was passed in 1994CE. 7,25USD in 1994 is about the same as 11USD in 1994. But since the US government is so slow, it may be a few years until the Minimum wage is updated. By then, Inflation would have caught up. The Minimum wage in the United States does not keep up with Inflation.
It creates an Artificial Pay limit
The Minimum wage also makes an artificial pay limit. It sets a suggested number which everyone chooses to set as their payment for their employees rather than a living wage. It allows for companies to pay a little bit over minimum wage sound like they are paying a lot when in reality they are still not paying a liveable wage. If a company pay 13USD an hour its not much better than a 7,25USD per hour wage. The Minimum wage increasing also gives land lords the green light to raise their prices. If the minimum wage were to raise, landlords would just raise prices and inflation in general would go up thus eventually cancelling out the raise. The minimum wage also in many ways sets the standard salary for other jobs. If you have a 2nd tier job, just make it pay 20 000 USD a month, its more than minimum wage but not a liveable wage, and for each tier, you just add a little bit more. This is what happens when you have a low minimum wage and the state rather than the unions try to regulate it which brings us to our Next Point.
It weakens Unions
The Minimum wage tries to make unions less relevant. If the wage is set to something super low, but just high enough to make some people happy, the workers wont rebel and demand higher wages. Unions get weaker since there is less use for them which allows for the wages to stay low. If the workers all got together on strike, they would get much higher than what the minimum wage is, but the minimum wage is just enough to make the workers not go on strike and demand higher wages, meaning that it is just meant to weaken something (Unions) to keep something else the same (Capitalism and Low Wages).
It keeps Capitalism alive
The Minimum wage is just a Neo-Liberal way to keep capitalism intact. It is part of a negotiation between the Bourgeoisie and the Proletariat mediated by the State. But this just gives the state more of a reason to exist and lets the bourgeoisie continue to exist. We dont want to negotiate with these pigs, we want to overthrow them, they are leeches and as long as they exist, we are being exploited.
Workers are Still Exploited
The Bourgeoisie still makes profits off the worker’s labour, even if they are paying them more. It does not in any way fix Worker Labour Exploitation or Wage Slavery. Even if it does work for large Corporations, the Minimum wage may harm smaller businesses which are just starting out. In the beginning, a business may not be able to pay liveable wages, though a worker may still choose to work there for other reasons, though they cant because of the Minimum wage laws. In the long run this leads to Monopolies forming.
The fear of Globalism
If we have minimum wage laws, the Bourgeoisie may just move their work force to Asia or Africa for a fraction of the cost, profiting a United States Company, and keeping the those countries poor. This is already happening in the Chinas and Africa where people (including Children) in those countries are being paid pennies a day to do work when the company owner does nothing and gets huge profit.
An Alternative to the Minimum wage.
There are great alternatives to the minimum wage which carry less or none of the negative effects we listed above.
One of them is a “Maximum Wage” like the 1:12 Ratio in the Swiss Confederation. What this does is it makes the highest paid person in a company make a maximum of 12 times as much as the lowest worker. The benefit to this is it prevents 1 person from raising to the top and provides better living conditions for the workers and more equality in general. While the Swiss do have a Minimum wage, the 1:12 ratio is a much better way to fix the problem.
Another way is Socialism or Communism.
Socialism and Communism are not the evil ideologies portrayed in the West. Socialism is when the workers take control of the means of production and abolish the bourgeoisie and is a step towards communism for Marxists. Communism is a step further than socialism, in Communism, the state and Money/Currency are both abolished. All transactions are between workers and there are no bosses and all the resources are owned collectively. This is good because it can help impoverished peoples improve their living conditions and not be exploited, and it helps just about everyone except the former bourgeoisie and state.
Also happy 100th Birthday to CPUSA on 20 December 2019CE.
02 December is the day were you are supposed to ditch school. School, at least in the US, is a Neo-Nazi Organisation which controls you a tonne and it would be better if it was dismantled. I am happy for the people who ditched school and hope they had a very good day.
Today 20 November 2019 CE, was the first debate for the Democratic party happened in Georgia. This was with 9 Democratic candidates. This was the 5th of 12 debates.
The Canidates that were in the debate are Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Tom Steyer, Andrew Yang, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar. There are other democratic canidates running, but none of them were able to qualify for the debate. Biden, Sanders, Harris, and Warren all have about equal percent, 17% according to FiveThirtyEight. Pete Buttigieg has 16%, Tom Steyer with 8%, Andrew Yang with 5%, Booker with 5%, and Klobuchar with 4%. Klobuchar’s appearance was kind of a surprise as they had not been doing that well. You need about 3 percent in order to qualify for the debate. The democrats made strong promises like Free Healthcare and more paid leave. We are honestly unsure if the democrats will be able to keep their promises, as most of them still support capitalism and reform over revolution. Almost all of them talked about climate change and most of them discussed plans on what they would do about it and how they planned to set an example for other countries. Most of the candidates were against continuing relations with Saudi Arabia, or at least wanted to put more pressure on them and to stop selling them weapons. They also supported trying to get Iran and Saudi Arabia to work together and to put pressure on both of them, and in general to create a new foreign policy. Many of them still seemed to have nationalist sentiment, saying how as a nation we should be united. Impeachment was also an issue commonly covered between most of the candidates. Regime changes were generally looked down upon in this debate. Most of the candidates were almost completely Pro-Choice. They were sure to talk about recognising white nationalist groups as domestic terrorists, as well as other racial issues. Voting rights were talked about by people like Sanders and Kolbuchar. This is most of the you need to know about the democratic debate from 20 November 2019. If you want to know more information about what each candidate talked about, we suggest you read this article on the Democratic Presidential Debate 20 November 2019.
The things at the top are called Fasces, and they are often used to Represent Fascism, an authoritarian ideology with many different age and gender roles as well as Racism. The Untied States in my opinion is Neo-Nazi which is an extreme form of Fascism.
In the Middle is the Capitalist Pig commonly known as Capitalist Porky. This is supposed to represent the Pig-Like Nature of Capitalists and How Capitalists are a big part of the United States.
On the Centre Left there are Slave Chains, these represent how the United States was based off of slavery and how still living in the United States is slavery even if they in some ways do not use literal slavery (though it still exists in some ways).
To the Centre Right is a picture of Cecil Rhodes and the Cape-Cairo railway project. This is a symbol commonly used to represent British Imperialism in Africa, but has also been used to represent Imperialism in general. The United States used imperialism alot during its history and still uses in by overthrowing governments and replacing them with ones that the US have influence over. This happened recently in the 2019 Coup of Bolivia.
On the Bottom I have a Picture of Big Brother. Big Brother is popular from the meme “Big Brother is Watching You”, this meme is supposed to relate to the US as the United States spys on its own citizens a lot and it also spys on citizens of other countries a lot, especially of countries that they are enemies with.
This whole meme is in the Shape of a Minecraft Crafting table, Minecraft is a popular game which is played by Millions. The Crafting table is what you use to make stuff.
This meme is free to spread under any condition as long as you do not copyright it.
On 11 November 2019, The CIA as well as a few Multinational Lithium corporations, took a big part of a coup in the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The current leader was someone named Evo Morales, who was a democraticly elected president who was about 4 years through his 5 year term. He labelled himself socialist, and was overthrown less than 1 week after stopping trade with Multinational Lithium Companies. He was replaced by a rightist named Jeanine Áñez, who is Anti-Evo Morales.
Why did the Coup Happen and Who was Involved?
The coup happened because Evo Morales stopped trade with multinational Lithium Companies and so the United States could continue their imperialism. The Coup was the result of many right-wing protests which were against the Socialist government in Boliva currently, and the CIA and multinational corporations propped them up and overthrew the fairly popular government, and replace it with one that is far worse and disliked by far more people. The country tried to nationalise fossil fuels and Lithium, and did not like being exploited by Europe for the Lithium which was rightfully theirs.
The United States is not done trying to weak socialist countries.
In the past, the United States has done coups to socialist countries to try to make socialism look bad and use those countries as an example of why socialism is bad. An example of a similar coup was 1954 CE in Guatamala and even a coup that once happened in Bolivia. These coups have continued in many other countries by the United States to try to stop the spread of Socialism. The CIA, Some Multinational Corporations, and some Right-Wing Protesters were the people who carried out the coup.
What does this mean for the World and Bolivia?
Bolivia’s new leader is named Jeanine Áñez, and she was supposedly the most popular successor to Morales, though this is debatable, as her party, the Democrat Social Movement, is not popular, currently only having 1/36 senators and 4/130 members in the Chamber of Deputies. On the contrary, Movement for Socialism, Morales’ party 21/36 Senators and 67/130 Deputies. She is a rightist who is not very popular and possibly very corrupt (she is married to a Colombian politician which would allow for a lot of corruption). She claims to be just a “temporary” president until the next election.
This is a huge loss of indigenous people, as the previous leader and party was a huge supporter of indigenous people, with the party even making the Wiphala one of the official flags.
It is also a loss for people who support the environment, as the previous leader was very pro-environment and the new leader does not seem to care and wants to undo lots of the stuff done by Morales.
Bolivia is one of the more impoverished countries in the Americas, but has been one of the fastest growing due partially due to the Movement for Socialist Party. With a more pro-capitalist party, this is likely to hurt the growth of Bolivia and continue to benefit the Bourgeoisie and Multinational corporations. She has been called a Fascist by some.
Finely, the deal with the Lithium companies will probably be restored.
Morales just today received Asylum in Me´xico and officially resigned power today as well.
Fake Twitter Accounts Denying the Event
Today, people from the United States have made fake Twitter accounts that look like they are from Bolivia which deny the coup ever happening. This is most likely and attempt of hiding United States Imperialism . They say how Bolivia is still great and how the coups never happened.
Today is the Day Ibadi and Sunni Muslims celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. 12 Rabi’ al-awwal is the date on the Muslim Calendar, which in 2019 is the equivalent to November 10 (Muslim Calendar is different than Gregorian Calendar, and is a little shorter). This can be considered a tiny bit like Christmas for Muslims. Muhammad was a huge historical figure to the opinion of most people who study history, and to some the most important religious figure. I am going to try to make a secular article explaining who the Prophet Muhammad is. I will also make an article on 17 Rabi’ al-awwal, which is when the Shia Muslims celebrate it. And to my comrades from the US, no, he is not all bad.
Disclaimer: THESE ARE NOT MY RELIGIOUS VIEWS, I AM JUST EXPLAINING WHO MUHAMMAD IS AND WHAT PEOPLE THINK, THESE ARE NOT MOSTLY MY IDEAS, I AM JUST EXPLAINING THE HOLIDAY AND PERSON.
Who was the Prophet Muhammad?
Muhammad was the founder of Islam. He was Born Around 570CE under the name Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh in the city of Mecca. His parents died when he was 6, then he was raised by paternal grandfather and then later his uncle. When he grew up he was a merchant for a while. He was born into a clan of the Quraysh Tribe, one of the richest tribes in Arabia. He had a pretty normal life until around the age 40, he claimed being visited by Gabriel, an important religious person who gave him “his first revelation with Allah”. 3 Years later, he started spreading his words in 610CE. This was a time when his tribe was mostly polytheistic, and disagreed heavily with the things Muhammad said. When he started to get a bug following, he was expelled from Mecca, and went to a city named Medina in 622CE. This marks the beginning of the Islamic Calendar. At the time there were lots of Jews in the city, but most of the non-Jews converted to Islam pretty quick. He fought Meccan tribes occasionally until in December 629CE, he had an army of over 10 000 people who marched their and took the city with little conflict. While they were taking the city, some of the soldiers went around the Kaaba 7 times, this lead to the holiday Hajj, which is a pilgrimage to the Kaaba that all Muslims must take if they are able to. After the conquest, Muhammad went into the Kaaba, which is a building where they stored religious idols, and was disgusted, he hated how there were multiple gods, and thought that there was only 1 god, Allah, who could not be idolised. So he and some of his soldiers destroyed all of the statues of the other gods. After Mecca fell, the Muslims sent an ultimatum to all the other Arabic tribes, saying to either join, or that they would fight, most joined. Muhammad left Mecca 632CE, and died a few Months Later. There are no reliable depictions of him, as Islam is against idolisation. By the time he had died most of the Arabia was part of his empire. He then had 3 successors and it became known as the Rashidun.
The Rashidun would eventually after a power struggle become the Umayyad Caliphate, which would end up taking all of Persia, Arabia, The Middle East, Egypt, Northern Africa, and Most of Iberia. The biggest achievements was how easily they defeated the Persian and Roman Empires. The Roman Empire Still existed, but was severely weakened, while the Persian Empire was completely invaded. The Umayyads had significant scientific advances and were ahead of their time in many ways. After a civil war, the Abbasid Caliphate, and many smaller Muslim states arose (The Umayyads still remained in Iberia). This empire lasted a long time until Mongol Conquest , but was revived in Egypt after the Mongols declined and lasted until the 1500’s CE. The Seljuk Turks were another Muslim Empire, while not a caliphate, that played a big role. They were able to conquer much of Anatolia from the Romans. After the Seljuk Turks were conquered by the Mongols, they split up, and one of the states that came out of the Split up would eventually become known as the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire is considered a Caliphate as well, and they played a big role as they were able to finally conquer the Roman Empire. The Ottoman Empire was eventually after Centuries of Decline, broken up after the end of the Great War and became the Republic of Turkey, which still exists today, although the term Caliphate is no longer used by them. They were a big part of the trading that happened from Asia to Europe. The Islamic State also claims to be a Caliphate, though this is heavily debated and hardly recognised by anyone outside of the Islamic State. Today Over 1,9 Billion people are Muslim, and they are expected to Beat Christianity as the largest religion by 2100CE. The Muslims for almost a Millennium were some of the most scientific and advanced, and Islam brought together many tribes of people.
Ignorance and Later Hate from the West
As Muslim states started to decline, they were not quite as relevant and not talked about or taught about in schools. Most people in the west had little idea what Muslims were until 911. After 911 and the eventual war on terror, many people had a negative view on Islam. Islam started to be associated with terrorism rather than a religion like it really is. Islam is not a hateful religion, there are just people who do violent acts under the name of Islam, people did things the same under Christianity. Christianity is no better than Islam in that it is not a violent religion. Muslims are just like any other people, they just like to worship their religion like any other people, but some people take it to the extreme and do violent stuff that they do not need to do to spread their religion.
People often call Antifa a terrorist organisation. This is not correct for multiple reasons. Antifa can stand for Anti-Fascist, Anti-Fascism, or Anti-Fascist Action (on their flag). First of all, Antifa is an idea, not a centralised organisation; you cannot join a centralised group known as “antifa” that covers all of the members of antifa. If someone says they are a member of antifa, they most likely mean that they identify with the idea and maybe sometimes protest or advocate in other ways. You may also be part of a group that identifies as part as antifa, but in no way are they “official” antifa.
Not all people who identify with antifa are violent people who go on the streets and beat people up and do damage to property. Many people who identify as antifa are people who advocate online, people who do peaceful protests, people who argue against fascism or other authoritarian ideas, or just some one who does not like fascism or similar ideologies. Just being against fascism can make you an anti-facist.
The reason antifa sometimes damages property is because many of them are leftist. Many people who are on the far left generally disagree with having private property. They agree with personal property, but not private property. They see land owned by some rich person as private property. Personal property is stuff that you use for yourself, such as your tooth brush, you phone (in most cases), food, and other stuff that cannot be used to give yourself and advantage.
Not to mention that not all antifa protests actually hurt anyone, many of them are peaceful people just fighting for rights. Often times when someone is hurt, it is often a police officer or someone who they are protesting against (they often do counter protests). They see police as a threat to their freedom and that’s why they sometimes attack them. Sometimes they are only attacked because they came there or they came there and started to attack and stop the protesters who in some cases are not doing anything wrong, in fact, the police often seem to make the violence worse and cause up more trouble.
Not to mention that there has not been a recorded murder caused by antifa protest that I am aware of so far. If anyone has any evidence that shows otherwise, feel free to send we a link to a news article or video, and do the same if someone else says antifa has killed someone. This is a common myth that is going around.
Many revolutionaries like some people who consider themselves antifa believe that the state and bourgeoisie will not give up their position of power peacefully and that their would have to be some violence involved in order to bring about social change. Many violent protests lead to change, you just do not hear about them as often because you are discouraged by the state and bourgeoisie to do them. Look at the Latin American Revolutions, Haitian Revolution, Russian Revolution, and overthrow of the Shah. All these probably would not of been possible without violence.
Many say that Antifa are the real fascists because they use violence and that’s considered fascist. While authoritarians often use violence, they most often do it with the goal of controlling other people, while antifa in most cases is fighting against being controlled. Fascists are for control, while antifa are against control and are fighting against being controlled or people who want to eventually control them or help someone else control them. If there is no violence, then the state will feel free to control us more and more, and they are being violent for their own self-defence, sometimes it is hard to avoid hurting other people, you just got to stay away if you think you will get hurt.
Another misconception is that antifa thinks that they are strong and that they are in fact weak. This often comes from how they dress up and sometimes seem to look tough. Just because you cover your face does not mean you are tying to be tough, in fact, it can show that you are trying to hide you face, this is because you may be afraid of what your government may do to you. Also doing violent acts does not mean you think you are tough, it just means you are doing violent acts. Antifa people are not any weaker than an average person, how does hiding yourselves or anything like that make you much weaker? It just means you fear a much stronger power, not that you are weak.
Similar to above, many people say that your ideology is bad if you have your face covered and often show pictures of antifa, the KKK, and other protesters. This does not make your idea bad, it just means that you are afraid people who do not like your idea are going to do something bad, or you may think it weakens chances in your life if a potential boss does not like your political beliefs (why many people do not talk about politics in general). It can be a sign of weakness to not talk about your political ideas in public, but considering that there is also stuff you can loose especially if your idea is uncommon, its not all that bad to hide yourself in some cases. The only reason I cover myself when I protest is because I do not want the state to try to get me in trouble, but I will happily fight for my ideas with you.
If we go to the definition of terrorism, there is often no universal meaning, though it is often “using violence or threats to influence politics or religion.” UK, US, and UN laws have similar definitions and are more specific and include to civilians, property, and the state in most cases. While some people who are with antifa may do these things, they do not do it nearly as much as many governments do, such as the US, UK, and UN. The wars in the middle east that they create kill many civilians and destroy property there, and in most western European Countries and North America seem to think there countries are great. Police agencies terrorise much more than antifa does, and most people love the police in their countries. The United States is Hypocritical when they call someone terrorists when the country was created because of “terrorism.” ISIL are labelled terrorists by the United States, when most of the acts they did are done by the United States government. The United States destroys things like ISIL, they take land like ISIL, they kill people in these conflicts like ISIL, and so much more. The United States considered The People’s Democratic Republic of Korea a “rouge” state when they hardly attack anyone. So before you call Antifa terrorists, look at the country you live in, as there is a chance they are even worse.
Another less commonly seen definition for terrorism is “enemy of the state.” But as in the example I showed you above, your government may not be all that great and you may want to rebel. I doubt the United States considers many of their founders terrorists when they were enemies of their government (The British Government at the time). This just shows the hypocrisy in the United States and other nations idea of what terrorism is. And what is even worse is punishing people for being “enemies of the state.”
Probably the biggest argument, is that just because a few people does something, does not make everyone in the group bad. Just like people from a different place than you. Maybe a person from some Asian country is stereotypically good at math, but that does not mean all or most actually are. Its just a few are and that’s the reputation people give them, not all stereotypes are true, and many are based on the examples that get the most publicity. Most people who identify with antifa do not go out and punch people, just some do and that’s the reputation they have gotten.
I hope to update this article in the future but hope it has cleared some things up for you.
Recently Nancy Pelosi, the speaker for the House of Representatives for United States has been trying to impeach United States President Donald Trump. Apparently an anonymous whistle-blower reported Donald Trump abusing his power and trying to cover it up. Trump and his personal attorney possibly blackmailed president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden so he has less chance of winning the election, as well as his sun named Hunter. Ukrainian Advisers seemed like they agreed with the rumour. Around the same time, Trump stopped aiding Ukraine’s military aid. The whistle-blower also accused the White House of trying to cover up these calls. The part with the calls being hidden had been confirmed, and similar things have been done to Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia. According to some people who have been with Trump, these kinds of foreign interactions are “typical.” Trump has stated that he is not worried about interfering with the United States Election. This is not the 1st attempt to try to impeach Trump, some talk had begun even before he had taken office. Trump has done many impeachable actions and there was also suspicion that the Russians interfered with the 2016 election. One of the 1st attempts to impeach Trump was in his 1st year where it failed by a 58–364 margin because the House back then was mostly Republican. The last impeachment was run by 2 Democrats named Al Green and Brad Sherman. Things have changed since then, now Democrats have a lead in Representatives. 232 Democrats, 1 Republican, and 1 Independent support the impeachment inquiry. This number is a majority of the of the House. Impeachment does not always mean you are taken out of office. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached by remained in office. Richard Nixon resigned so he could not be taken out of office. Some of Trumps business allies have stayed silent, according to AOL. Some of Trumps supporters do not seem to believe in the existence of the wrong doing or do not really care, some of his business allies have just stayed silent. Most of the people who funded his campaign still support him and some criticise the impeachment inquiry. Trump also threatened that the stock market will go down if he is impeached. He also requested the full transcript on the incident be released by the White House. Trump’s financial situation is also largely unknown; It is largely estimated by Forbes that he has around 3,1 Billion USD. This number is largely debated though, some say he could be in debt. Public opinion in General favours impeachment from register voters. With many polls putting the support number at around 45% and 40% disfavour. The incident of impeachment has triggered memes, tweets, political discussion and much more from the public. Many other things done by Trump may influence the public’s decision such as ICE, the idea to build a wall, Tariffs, and so much more. Some say they think of Trump as a Neo-Nazi, and white nationalist, and other similar things. The stock market looks like it may go into a recession soon and this may make Trump loose 2020 even if he is not taken out of office. We will have to see what information comes out in the following days, weeks, and months.
The State of the Union is happening today as I am writing this. There are many issues with the state of the union which I wish to cover. The 1st issue, and this happens a lot even outside of the state of the union. This issue is that people call the USA, America. The USA MAINLAND is in America, but they are not the only part of America. And Not all of their land is even in America(such as Guam). Here is a Map of America and the USA.
The Blue is The USA, Everything in the line is America. Yes I know I left out some islands part of America and Parts of USA-Only/Non-American Land. But as you can see, USA is not the only part of America. And even though they are not on this map, some islands the USA owns are not in the Americas. When they call themselves just “American” they seem to think they are the only Americans. I often call people from USA “United Statesian”, I am United Statesian, and I do not think that we are the only part of America.
Next thing, they have many references to god. Many people belive in god, but there are some people who do not. When you put god references in your speech to the whole country, even full of people who do not belive-in a single god or any higher power, they are leaving those people out. If you belive-in god, that’s ok, but I do not think they should push that on people who do not belive-in a higher power.
They also like to say how the “State of the Union is Strong”. This can be good or bad depending on how you view it. In this case, in many ways I think it is bad. Being together with the federal government lets them control you more, they block autonomousness.
Another thing, is they talk about closing boarders more. Why should we even have boarders? Boarders stop business decisions and just benifit the state. EU contries dont really have boarders with other EU Contries, why should we have such strong boarders? Wouldnt all that crime eventually spread out and be even? Boarders I think do more harm than good. We could work together with contries, but the state does not seem to like that. If state did not exist, there most likely would be no borders. It would be great IMO.
One thing they said is how they are working on a “trade deal” with PROC (People’s Republic Of China). What kind of “trade deal” could they be making? Why cant they just let the people who live in the country decide the trades on their own? Why do they need governement to do that for them? Or do they mean tarrifs when they say trade deals? Those are bad, they are just the government saying how much power they have and how they do not want you to benifit other contries even if it benifits you.
Another thing is that Trump called us Socialist, which in some ways we are depending on who you ask. But I think we are more of a Social Democracy. Socialism I think is more of a transition to Communism and maybe in super rare cases capitalism. But do you think we will ever go to Communist or Capitalist? I doubt it, if we did, then the government would loose their power. And we all know they do not want that.
Another thing, he says they will cut taxes. Sounds good IMO, but is it really do you think? Do you actually think the government will cut its spending on things we do not really need? No! They are probobly just going to build more debt that the newer generations will have to pay off.
One last thing I want to mention for now, is how the U.S President is picking sides. They are claiming that their pick for the president of Venezuela is the legit president fo Venezuela. There is still debate on that. And they also claim that Jerusalem is the capital is Isreal. It may be, but it is also under dispute with Palestine. The USA does not recognise Palestine for some reason, they are just spitting in their face. Also, USA claiming the legitness of their side probobly makes their allies angry, such as Russian Federation or PROC. I recognise Palestine, but USA government does not.
Now there are many more things I would like to cover, but I am a little low on time and ideas now, I will most likley be editing this to find more problems with the state of the union.
